First Jump ~ Action Sports video

To celebrate it`s first year of trading Jump Freeride Store threw a party, and as an extra decided to have a video made, to show the sports which the shop stocks products for, the top local riders, and the shop itself. This was a great opportunity to bring together people from the wide range of sports and create a feeling of community around the shop, by making all the people feel involved.

With only a short amount of time available for the production it was fortunate that Flavour was able to make use of it`s extensive collection of existing footage, which was able to cover all the sports involved. Added to this there was filming of some up to the minute footage from contests, together with specific coverage of local riders.

Getting good footage from such high action, fast moving sports as Motocross, Mountain Biking, BMX, Skateboarding and Snowboarding is a hard task, but we relish a challenge and know what`s needed, and like many things it comes down to being in the right place at the right time! Filming several locations a day we moved from the mountains of Monchique, to the hidden trails of the Ludo valley, to the more urban skateparks and contests.

As the video went into the editing stage we made some calls and arranged a little surprise for the client, a specially written piece of music for the introduction of the video, courtesy of Algarve legends Raw Machine. With a high energy into guaranteed and the rest of the music picked out the video was edited into different sections for the different sports, each with it`s own feel, while staying part of the video as a whole. With the party rescheduled for earlier than originally planned the work had to shift up a gear, but all went smoothly, and in the end there was time to spare.

Then, with the projector and screen set up and ready in the bar, it was time for the party to begin!
